 I was in FED Crame this morning and some officials expressed dismay and concern regarding some airsofters who have been seen publicly and openly carrying and handling their guns in public places or wearing their combat uniforms while going to game sites.
They informed me that up to this time, the PNP has been lenient with implementing airsoft rules. However, if this type of wrongful behavior is continued, and the top brass gets knowledge of it, the PNP may become STRICTER in dealing with airsoft particularly, the orange tip requirement (which they have not implemented or required as yet) and confiscation of publicly displayed aegs.
The new Chief PNP, Gen Verzosa is NOT particularly pro-gun.so this is a friendly appeal to all: 1. Please refrain from brandishing and/or carrying your airsoft Guns openly and publicly. Always use gun cases. 2. Avoid wearing your bdu's in public when going to and from games. Observance of these basic rules will go a long way towards preserving the gains that we already have accomplished in legalization of airsoft, and ensure that we can all continue playing and enjoying our sport. for your comments click here. |
